"What do you want for Mother's Day?" I ask my mother-in-law.
"Oh, please."
"Oh, please isn't an answer."
"Don't get me anything."
"What?! Of course I'm going to get you something."
"Oh, come on."
"You come on."
"Fine. Something that makes me younger."
"I'm on it."
Then I ask her about a birthday gift for my father-in-law.
"What can I get him?"
"Knishes."
"Knishes?"
"Bring him back some knishes from New York."
"So, just pick up a dozen and pack them in my suitcase?"
"Sure. They'll keep. Won't they?"
"We'll find out."
